Users can now complete tasks directly from custom phone notifications on their Salesforce mobile app. Let’s say your VP of sales wants to approve an expense report. They can do that on the fly just from a notification received on their mobile phone. A task that before took four clicks has now been streamlined into one.
Where: This change applies to the Salesforce mobile app for iOS and Android on phones and tablets in all editions, except Database.com.
Actionable notifications is a pilot or beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at Agreements - Salesforce.com or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this pilot or beta service is at the Customer's sole discretion.
When: Actionable notifications (beta) are available starting in March 2026.
How: You can now add actions to custom notifications. These notifications appear on a user’s lock screen, depending on their settings, and are used for various actions, such as approving requests, following up on deals that are at risk, or closing a case.
