# Manage Activation and Deactivation of Enhanced Messaging Channels in Bulk

You can now activate and deactivate enhanced SMS messaging channels in both sandbox and production environments, either in bulk using a CSV file or individually at the record level.

**Where:** This change applies to Enhanced SMS channels. [View supported editions](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.messaging_editions.htm&type=5&language=en_US).

**Why:** Use this feature to test SMS codes in the sandbox org and then use the code in the production org to send SMS messages to your customers.
