# Replace your Messaging Permission Set License

We’re replacing the Messaging User permission set license with a new one named Messaging Unlimited. To avoid interrupting feature access, if you upgrade your Messaging licensing model from Digital Engagement to Agentforce Contact Center Digital, assign the new permission set license to your Messaging users. If you’re still using Digital Engagement, no action is needed.

**Where:** This change applies to all orgs with the Agentforce Contact Center Digital add-on. [View supported editions for Messaging](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.messaging_editions.htm&type=5&language=en_US).

**When:** The Messaging Unlimited permission set license is available starting on February 23, 2026 with the release of Agentforce Contact Center.

**How:** After you acquire the Agentforce Contact Center Digital add-on, remove the “Send One-to-Many Messages” user permission from any Messaging permission sets. This permission is related to SMS broadcast messaging, a legacy feature, and can’t be used with the new permission set license.

Then, for each user that needs access to Messaging, un-assign the Messaging User permission set license and assign the new Messaging Unlimited permission set license. You can assign it individually from the Users page in Setup, or in bulk from the Company Information page.
