# Standardize Point Expiration by Using Current Date

Standardize your point expiration processes by using real-time calculations with a capability to check whether the run date for a Data Processing Engine definition is in the future. The future run date is automatically replaced with the current date.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Loyalty Management.

**Why:** These enhanced Data Processing Engine definition templates now verify the run date.

- Reset Qualifying Points
- Expire Fixed Non-Qualifying Points
- Expire Activity Based Non-Qualifying Points
- Expire Fixed Non-Qualifying Points Using Aggregated Expiration Ledgers
- Expire Non-Qualifying Points Using Traceability Loyalty Ledgers
- Expire Fixed Non-Qualifying Points Using Aggregation Ledgers and Trace Ledgers

**How:** To get the latest updates, replace the existing Data Processing Engine definition templates with the enhanced templates.
