# Create Asset Records from Configuration Items

Eliminate manual data reconciliation and improve audit compliance by automatically creating asset records from discovered configuration items. Establish a one-way synchronization between IT Asset Management and Configuration Management Database systems by associating asset records to configuration items (CIs) based on the CI type and predefined matching rules.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Unlimited, Enterprise, and Performance editions with Agentforce IT Service and CMDB and Service Graph enabled.
