In Spring ’26, we’re no longer enabling Lightning Web Security (LWS) Trusted Mode. Salesforce briefly released LWS Trusted Mode in Winter ’26. We re-evaluated LWS Trusted Mode and decided to make it available only as a beta service in the same Winter ’26 release. This feature gives customers great responsibility for the security of scripts allowed to run in their org. We want to make sure that the customers that enable LWS Trusted Mode have a strong security posture both as a company and built into their processes.
Where: This feature applies to Lightning web components (LWC) in Lightning Experience, and LWC components in Aura-based Experience Cloud sites. It doesn’t apply to LWR sites or to Aura components in Lightning Experience or in Aura sites.
Why: Salesforce provides a secure by default environment. Although we recognize the functional advantages and third-party compatibility that LWS Trusted Mode offers, we’re limiting its availability. Salesforce can work directly with customers to help make sure that they understand the recommended security checks and balances before use.
