# Understand Asset Discovery Activity by Using the Discovery Sources Card

View and analyze asset discovery activity by using the Discovery Sources card in a Configuration Item (CI) record. Use audit fields to understand when a configuration item was first discovered, last updated, or rescanned by each discovery source. The Discovery card on the CI record also displays timestamps for agentless scans, agent scans, cloud connectors, and API-based integrations. The fields give you insights into asset freshness and help verify that discovery jobs are running as expected.

**Where:** This feature is available in Lightning Experience in Unlimited, Enterprise, and Performance Editions with Agentforce IT Service where Discovery is enabled.

**Who:** Users must have the IT Service Configuration Item and IT Service Asset Discovery permissions.

**Why:** Discovery audit fields improve visibility into CMDB data quality. Teams can confirm when an asset was last scanned, identify stale records, and troubleshoot discovery coverage issues more quickly.

**How:** From the Salesforce CMDB & Service Graph app, go to **All Configuration Items** or **My Configuration Items** in the navigation pane. Open the required CI record and review the Discovery Sources card to see the audit fields.
