# Analyze Installed Software and System Components with the New Components Tab

Review and analyze installed software and system components by using the Components tab on a configuration item (CI) record. Review installed software, system processes, network adapters, certificates, and other component data collected during discovery. The tab organizes component inventory into structured categories and provides a searchable, filterable table. You can also add components manually when required.

**Where:** This feature is available in Lightning Experience in Unlimited, Enterprise, and Performance Editions with Agentforce IT Service where Discovery is enabled.

**Who:** Users must have the IT Service Configuration Item and IT Service Asset Discovery permissions.

**Why:** Component-level visibility helps IT teams validate software compliance, troubleshoot configuration issues, and track system changes. This improves operational awareness and strengthens configuration governance.

**How:** From the Salesforce CMDB and Service Graph, go to **All Configuration Items** or **My Configuration Items** in the navigation pane. Select the required CI record and select the **Components** tab. Select any component category such as installed software, processes, network adapters, or storage disks. Use the table tools to search, filter, or customize visible columns. Select **Add** to manually add a new component entry.
