Streamline CMDB Setup with Explicit Tenant Provisioning

Provision CMDB and Service Graph to create the required CMDB environment and prepare your org for configuration. Provisioning creates a dedicated CMDB tenant and enables the required licenses and services. Complete provisioning before configuring CMDB in Salesforce Go. Monitor provisioning status and retry if a previous attempt failed.

Where: Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Unlimited, Enterprise, and Performance Editions with Agentforce IT Service where Salesforce CMDB and Service Graph is enabled.

Who: To provision CMDB and Service Graph, users must have the View Setup and Configuration permission.

Why: CMDB requires a dedicated tenant and supporting services before configuration begins. The new Provisioning Settings page provides clear visibility into provisioning status, displays job stages, and allows admins to rerun provisioning if it fails. You can make sure that CMDB is fully prepared before setup continues in Salesforce Go.

How: From Setup, enter CMDB in the Quick Find box and select CMDB and Service Graph under Feature Settings. Review the Provisioning Status section. If the status shows Not Provisioned or Failed, click Provision CMDB. Provisioning runs in the background and progresses through different stages. When the status shows Provisioned, you can click Configure CMDB using Salesforce Go to complete setup.
