Track Enterprise configuration item (CI) usage with the CMDB Enterprise add-on. Enterprise configuration items represent any CI that isn’t an end-user endpoint, such as servers, cloud resources, application services, and network devices. Digital Wallet provides visibility into active Enterprise CIs so you can monitor usage and understand how your environment evolves.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Unlimited, Enterprise, and Performance Editions with Salesforce CMDB where the CMDB Enterprise add-on is provisioned.
Who: Admins and users who manage configuration items and monitor usage in Digital Wallet.
Why: Enterprise configuration items, such as servers, cloud resources, application services, and network devices, represent critical infrastructure in CMDB and are metered based on activity. Digital Wallet helps teams track active CI counts and understand usage patterns so they can manage configuration data more effectively.
How: From Setup or App Launcher, open Digital Wallet. View the CMDB Enterprise usage type to monitor active Enterprise CI counts, track peak usage, and analyze usage trends based on configuration item activity.
