# Track Configuration Changes with the CI History Tab

Review how Configuration Items (CIs) change over time by using the CI History tab in a CI record page. The History tab shows who made each update, when it occurred, and what changed. Discovery updates also appear as part of the audit trail. Validate data accuracy, troubleshoot unexpected changes, and maintain a clear record of CI activity across manual edits and discovery processes.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Unlimited, Enterprise, and Performance Editions with Agentforce IT Service where Salesforce CMDB and Service Graph is enabled.

**Who:** Users must have the IT Service Configuration Item Owner permission.

**Why:** CI records often change during normal operations, discovery scans, and configuration updates. The CI History tab provides a reliable audit trail that improves transparency, supports compliance needs, and helps teams understand the sequence and impact of changes.

**How:** From the App Launcher, open the **Salesforce CMDB and Service Graph** app. In the navigation pane, go to **All Configuration Items**. Click the required CI record and then select the **History** tab. Review grouped entries that show the action type, actor, timestamp, and the old and new values for each update. Filter entries by user, date, or action to focus on specific events.
