# Prevent Data Loss by Automatically Saving Assessments

Help care managers administer assessments without worrying about data loss with autosave for Discovery Framework-based internal assessments and MCG assessments. As care managers enter assessment responses, the assessment is automatically saved every few seconds. They can also leave the assessment and later resume exactly where they left off, as the assessment is saved with an In Progress status.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited editions with Health Cloud.

**Who:** This feature is available to users with the Industries Assessment and Omnistudio User permission sets.

**How:** To enable autosave for MCG assessments, from Setup, go to the Integrated Care Management Settings page, and turn on Autosave MCG Assessments. To enable autosave for Discovery Framework-based internal assessments, go to the Assessment Settings page in the Discovery Framework section, and turn on Save Actions. Open the Omniscript of the internal assessment you want to enable autosave for and select Autosave Assessmment Progress under Save Options in the properties panel.
