# Support Diverse Healthcare Document Types with Custom Document Extraction Templates

Help your public health investigators and case intake specialists process a wider range of documents, including PDF, JPG, and PNG files, by using custom extraction templates for specific healthcare scenarios. Improve operational efficiency, reduce manual data entry, and get faster access to accurate, structured data that maps correctly to your Health Cloud data model.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited editions of Health Cloud with the Agentforce for Health Cloud add-on license.

**Why:** Custom extraction template offers extensive controls over context definition, prompt description, LLM selection, and object and field level configuration. These controls help you improve the extraction accuracy and reduce the chances of missing important data.

**Who:** This feature is available to users with the Health Cloud Foundation, Data Cloud User, Disease Surveillance, and Document AI permission sets.

**How:** To create a custom extraction template, in Setup, go to the Document AI for Health page. Click **Create Extraction Template**.
