# Scan All Categories for Eligible Promotions

Increase efficiency by selecting only the parent category that’s eligible for a promotion. Marketing managers can now skip selecting large sets of eligible child categories. The Eligible Promotions API and the Promotion Evaluation and Execution API now check promotion eligibility of products across five levels of its related category hierarchies.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Global Promotions Management.

**How:** To add the CartLineProductCategoryHierarchy\_\_std node, go to Context Definitions in Setup and sync the CartDetailGetEligiblePromotion definition. Then, map the node’s tags in the Global Promotions Management rule library. Deactivate and reactivate your running promotions.
