# Globalization

Apply export filters from Translation Workbench. Import valid files, even when there are invalid files in the bundle. Update Custom Labels from Translation Workbench. Access revised state codes for Canada and Japan. Get updated translations for some standard objects.

- **[Export and Import Translated Files with Ease](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_globalization_export_import.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Reduce metadata translation file size and complexity with export filters. Now, you can filter metadata translation files for export from the Translation Workbench when you select metadata components and date ranges. To improve the import experience, when you import translated files that contain invalid records, the valid records are imported.
- **[Speed Up Custom Label Updates in Translation Workbench](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_globalization_custom_label_twb.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Save time by updating custom labels directly within the Translation Workbench user interface, instead of navigating to the Custom Labels setup section.
- **[Use Updated State Codes for Picklists](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_globalization_iso_codes_picklists.htm&release=260&type=5)**
When you use standard country/territory address picklists, some country and territory states/provinces have special considerations for their state codes. You can now access the updated state codes for Canada and Japan in Salesforce orgs where standard country/territory picklists were configured in Spring ’26 and later, helping you maintain data quality.
- **[Review Updated Label Translations](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_globalization_review_label_translations.htm&release=260&type=5)**
To improve accuracy and your users’ experience, we updated the translations for some standard object, tab, and field names for these languages: Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Dutch, Finnish, French, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Slovenian, Thai, and Turkish.
- **[Enable ICU Locale Formats (Release Update)](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_globalization_enable_icu_locale_spring.htm&release=260&type=5)**
With this update, the International Components for Unicode (ICU) locale formats replace Oracle’s Java Development Kit (JDK) locale formats in Salesforce. Locales control the format for dates, times, currencies, addresses, names, numeric values, and the start day of the week. ICU sets the international standard for these formats. The ICU locale formats provide a consistent experience across the platform and improve integration with ICU-compliant applications across the globe. This update was first made available in Winter ’20. Orgs that haven’t already switched to ICU locale formats are encouraged to manually update.
