General Enhancements

Spring ’26 gives you more reasons to love Lightning Experience.

  • Verify Your Email Domain Ownership
To avoid disruption in email sent from Salesforce, verify the domains that you own with a DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) key or an authorized email domain. As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen the security of our email services, email domain verification is now mandatory. Salesforce no longer delivers emails from unverified domains, even if the email addresses are verified.
  • Prepare for Shorter Certificate Lifespans
If you use features that rely on certificates, prepare to update the related certificates more frequently. An upcoming industry-wide change decreases the maximum allowed Transport Layer Security (TLS) certificate lifespan over the next 3 years. Also, Salesforce plans to stop public certificate rotation announcements.
  • Get Ready for IPv6
To help mitigate the IP address scarcity of IPv4, Salesforce is working behind the scenes to support IPv6. If you use an IP allowlist to restrict network traffic or you restrict access to Salesforce via IP address, consider implementing a preferred alternative. Otherwise, prepare to update your allowlists to include IPv6 addresses.
  • Update Your mTLS Certificates
If you use publicly trusted certificates for mTLS (Mutual Transport Layer Security) and the Public Root CA (certificate authority) is in the Chrome Trusted Root List, transition to separate certificate hierarchies. Google Chrome is enforcing policy changes that limit the use of those certificates to TLS (Transport Layer Security) server authentication only.
  • Elevate Your Salesforce Go Experience with Smarter Filters and Enhanced Search
Tailor your Salesforce Go home page to focus on the features that matter most to you by rearranging or removing specific sections. When you filter your view by cloud, add a subvertical filter to see which feature sets and features apply to specific verticals within the cloud. Also, use enhanced search to spot the differences between features and feature sets with the same names.
  • Capture Employee Details for Unified Employee License Holders
Designate employees who have the Unified Employee license as employee users and capture more details for your reports, such as employee status and number.
  • Styling Change to Highlighted and Selected Content
To meet the Web Content Accessibility Guideline (WCAG) 1.4.11 standard for non-text accessibility, we changed the styling of highlighted and selected content throughout the Lightning UI. Previously, we applied our own styling to show when content was highlighted or selected, but have determined that the styling didn’t meet this WCAG standard. Now when you highlight or select content, the Lightning UI uses the styling applied by the user agent, which is your browser or device. The user agent determines the color contrast ratio.
  • Styling Change to Read-Only Checkboxes
When you view a record, read-only checkboxes no longer specify the disabled attribute, so screen readers can now announce the state and value of the checkboxes. Read-only checkboxes now display with hover text "True" or "False".
  • Enable Accessibility Enhancements for Page Headers and Modal Windows When Zoom Is Greater Than 200% (Release Update)
To help meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 for Resize and Reflow, enable Lightning Experience to adapt the behavior of page headers and modal windows when viewed at high magnification. This is the beginning of our effort to comply with WCAG 2.2 Resize and Reflow guidelines. Expect accessibility enhancements to other UI elements in future release updates.
  • Enable Accessibility Enhancements for Cards, Docked Containers, Menu Lists, and Panels (Release Update)
To help meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 for Resize and Reflow, enable Lightning Experience to adapt the behavior of cards, docked containers, menu lists, and panels when viewed at high magnification. This release update is dependent on the Enable Accessibility Enhancements for Page Headers and Modal Windows When Zoom Is Greater Than 200% release update. Make sure to enable that update first.
  • Enable Accessibility Enhancements for Date Pickers, Popovers, Bottom Utility Bars, Record Headers (Release Update)
To help meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 for Resize and Reflow, enable Lightning Experience to adapt the behavior of date pickers, popovers, bottom utility bars, and record headers when viewed at high magnification. This release update is dependent on the Enable Accessibility Enhancements for Page Headers and Modal Windows When Zoom Is Greater Than 200% release update. Make sure to enable that update first.
  • Track Your Data 360 Flex Credits Consumption in Digital Wallet
When Data 360 Services Credits move to Flex Credits, you’ll have a single, fungible pool of credits for both Data 360 and Agentforce. This transition also provides access to volume-based multipliers, which automatically reduce costs as monthly consumption increases, enabling you to scale your operations more economically. The Volume-Based Multipliers feature is in beta in languages other than English.
  • Gain Business-Specific Insights with Digital Wallet Custom Consumption Tags
Track and optimize your consumption through your specific business lens. Custom consumption tags empower you to gain deeper, business-specific insights by creating and managing your own tags to track consumption based on unique categories, such as department and cost center.
  • Track Your MuleSoft Automation Credits 3.0 in Digital Wallet
MuleSoft Automation Credits 3.0 is now available in Digital Wallet. Track daily and monthly consumption against your remaining capacity, identify usage trends for better budgeting and buying decisions, and configure proactive custom notifications to reduce surprises.
  • Monitor Data 360 Profiles with Digital Wallet
Use Digital Wallet to monitor your per-day consumption of Data 360 profiles in production environments.
  • Track Your Service Cloud Automated Asset Discovery Consumption in Digital Wallet
Track and monitor consumption for assets that are discovered automatically through the Configuration Management database (CMDB) in Digital Wallet. Consumption is calculated using the MAX aggregation method, which reflects the maximum mark of active assets discovered during a daily interval. Your credits are drawn down when an item is commissioned and returned to the credit pool, or when an item is decommissioned, retired, or disposed of.
