# Field Service Mobile

Explore what’s new in Field Service mobile, designed to help mobile workers provide outstanding service.

- **[Data Capture](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_data_capture.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Discover new features for Data Capture.
- **[Enhance the Field Service Mobile App with Native GIS Mapping](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_260_fieldservice_nativegis_mapping.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Eliminate app switching and accelerate time to value by delivering advanced geospatial context directly within the Field Service mobile app. Help mobile workers access geospatial information focused on their work location with the new Geospatial Information System (GIS). With it, they can view, interact with, and update complex map data—including assets, lines, and polygons—even when offline. Configure authentication and GIS map assignments with GIS’ extensive customization capabilities to deliver an intuitive user experience. Simplify deployment and enhance data integrity with a robust connector that seamlessly pushes Salesforce data to ArcGIS feature layers.
- **[Enhance the Mobile User Experience with a Configurable Feed](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_260_fieldservice_disable_chatterfeed.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Accelerate work load times and eliminate unnecessary background data usage for improved performance by disabling Feed and Feed Priming, if mobile workers don’t need access to Chatter while they're offline. You can now reduce complexity by removing the Feed entirely from the mobile app interface. Previously, the Feed tab on the mobile app was visible by default and you couldn’t hide it.
- **[Field Service Mobile App Support on Android 11 Is Deprecated](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_260_fieldservice_mobilesupport_android_11_deprecated.htm&release=260&type=5)**
As of this release, support for the mobile app on Android 11 and earlier devices is deprecated.
- **[Field Service iOS Mobile App Support on iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 Is Discontinued](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_260patch_ios17ipados17_app_support_discontinued.htm&release=260&type=5)**
As of this release, iPad and the mobile app no longer supports iPadOS 17, iOS 17 and earlier versions.
- **[Boost Mobile Worker Productivity with Enhanced App Stability and Quicker Startup](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_260_mwt_fsapp_productivity.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Improve operational efficiency with architectural enhancements that enable faster data priming and reduced memory consumption. Mobile workers now benefit from increased app startup reliability, accelerated data synchronization, and reduced crash rates.
- **[Control Bulk Status Change Icon Visibility for Bundled Service Appointments](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_260_fieldservice_mobile_bulk_status.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Avoid mishaps by disabling the Bulk Status Change Icon for Bundled Service Appointments in the Field Service mobile app. Previously, the icon was visible by default. Mobile workers could easily change the status of all bundled appointments with a single tap, potentially causing issues for customers with specific validation rules.
- **[Work More Efficiently with the Revamped Work Order Overview Page](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_260_fieldservice_mobile_revamped_wo.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Enhance performance with the fast-loading work order overview screen. Each tab and card on the overview page now loads independently, so you can access critical information faster. The modernized user interface has a sleeker look and feel and optimized screen space, so you now see more content at a glance. Previously, you had to wait for all the tabs to load before seeing the entire user interface.
- **[View Clear Information on Loading Stages During App Startup](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_260_fieldservice_mobile_loading_stages.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Keep mobile workers informed with real-time progress updates on the app's loading status, eliminating guesswork about background processes. Previously, the home screen displayed a static Field Service logo with no visibility into the loading progress.
- **[Optimize Your Mobile App Performance with Updated Technical Guidance](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_260_fieldservice_mobile_tech_guidance.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Get more reliable, long-term performance and lower your team’s total cost of ownership by following the updated technical requirements for the Field Service mobile app.
