# Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization

Benefit from advanced features and better schedule quality with Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization.

- **[Optimize Large Datasets in One Smooth Operation with Dynamic Scaling (Generally Available)](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_260_dynamic_scaling.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Set up and manage large-scale global and in-day optimization effectively without splitting data due to system limits. Dynamic scaling intelligently structures data into geographical clusters, seamlessly balancing demand and capacity while accounting for all operational work rule constraints. This capability simplifies optimization management by enabling higher system limits, so you don’t need to manually define optimization groups and boundaries. It also prevents conflicts and overlaps that often occur with fragmented, parallel optimization runs. You can now easily select all service territories when you configure a scheduled optimization job without having to select each territory individually. Previously, you had to define boundaries between areas that needed to be optimized together, making workforce planning difficult. Lower system limits meant you had to reduce the number of service appointments or service resources processed in a single request, and configure multiple optimization jobs. This fragmentation was tedious and affected overall business performance.
- **[Get More Optimal Scheduling with Updated Service Objective Scoring Formulas](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_260_updated_service_objectives.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Achieve improved scheduling outcomes that match your business priorities with refined grading formulas that better reflect your configured service objective weights. The impact of the Skill Preference and Skill Level objectives has doubled. And, the Resource Priority objective now relies on a fixed scale of 1 to 10 instead of the priority values sent in each optimization request, so that the schedule ‌‌outcome is more predictable. Previously, some underlying calculations reduced the intended impact of an objective's assigned weight.
- **[Access Optimization Request Files on Your Own (Generally Available)](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_260_optimization_request_files.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Use Optimization Request Files to retrieve the request and response files of an optimization request. Review the files in a JSON format to find out what happened to a specific request and quickly resolve related issues. Previously, you had to open a Support case and wait to get the files, which delayed the troubleshooting process.
- **[Get More Transparency into Service Operation Inefficiencies with Rule Violation Analytics (Beta)](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_260_rule_violation_analytics.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Understand the root causes of rule violations in manual scheduling, such as geographical imbalances or skill gaps, and make data-driven decisions by analyzing trends and patterns. Rule Violation Analytics, built on the Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization Data Model, captures all rules that are manually violated on the Gantt. Easily query this data via a semantic data model and draw insights by creating a comprehensive dashboard in Tableau Next. Visualize ‌rule violations, track metrics like the frequency of specific rule violations, and identify dispatchers or territories with recurring issues. Proactively address inefficiencies for better resource allocation, workforce planning, and dispatcher training.
