Improve schedule efficiency and reliability with enhanced Maps data for more accurate routing and travel time estimations that better reflect real-world traffic patterns. Field Service Maps data for EU customers now incorporates travel speed fluctuations throughout the day. With travel times typically increasing during peak periods, this granular update ensures your schedule is grounded in reality, reducing late arrivals and providing a more stable day of service.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions with the Field Service managed package installed.
When: This update rolls out starting February 12, 2026. Completion is expected within 24 hours but may take up to 48 hours.
Why: To improve routing accuracy, the map data repository now accounts for variable travel speeds, such as during rush hour, which can increase travel time estimates on average by up to 10%. While most travel times increase, some specific routes can show decreased travel times compared to previous averages due to more granular data.
How: This update is automatically applied to organizations using Point-to-Point Predictive Routing in the EU. Travel calculations for service appointments already on your schedule can change, creating overlaps, rule violations, or brief periods of idle time. To resolve these conflicts, use a fix overlaps feature, or run Global, In-Day, or Resource Optimization.
