Reduce the risk of downtime for custom domains that are served by a third party. For Visualforce sites, leave an empty value in the Site Favorite icon field and show your site visitors a cleaner browser tab. In 2026, Salesforce begins to migrate enhanced and custom domains that use the Salesforce Content Delivery Network to the Cloudflare CDN.
- Simplify Custom Domain Management with a Stable Target Host Name
If a third party serves your custom domain and your org uses Salesforce Edge Network, reduce your effort and the risk of downtime during Salesforce maintenance. Work with your third-party provider to update the domain’s target host name to your org’s My Domain login URL, which continues to work when your Salesforce instance changes. The current target host name works until your instance name or Hyperforce cell changes. We recommend that you update the target host name before your next org migration. - Visualforce Sites Display Only the Specified Favicon
Visualforce sites now support an empty value in the Site Favorite Icon field. The small icon appears in browser tabs, bookmarks, and search results for your site. Previously, when no icon was specified, users could see the Salesforce logo. - Salesforce Migrates Enhanced and Custom Domains Serving Digital Experiences to Cloudflare CDN
Beginning in 2026, Salesforce is migrating all enhanced and custom domains serving Digital Experiences that use the Salesforce Content Delivery Network (CDN) from Akamai to Cloudflare. Starting with the Spring ’26 release, all enhanced and custom domains that use the Salesforce CDN service are created using the Cloudflare CDN as the default service provider. You can manually migrate custom domains to the Cloudflare CDN ahead of the Salesforce-initiated migration. - Finish Updating Your Legacy Force.com Site URLs
To ensure continued access to your sites, update references to your old site URLs that end in force.com. Redirections from those site URLs stop working in this release. Look for references to those URLs in Salesforce, such as in knowledge articles, and outside Salesforce, such as integrations and links in your marketing materials.
