# Salesforce Files

With the new Scan files for viruses or malware (beta) setting, users are blocked from uploading or downloading malicious files. The file size limit has increased from 2 GB to 10 GB. And to keep your files list organized and tidy, you can now enable more users to delete files that they don’t own. Several of these features are ones that you requested on IdeaExchange.

- **[Protect Your Salesforce Org and Users by Scanning Files for Malware (Beta)](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_experiences_files_malware_scan.htm&release=260&type=5)**
For improved security in your Salesforce org, files are now scanned for malware in Salesforce Files. When a user tries to upload a file, the process is blocked if the scanned file is malicious. If a malicious file is uploaded via the API, it’s scanned asynchronously, and it appears in the new Malicious Files (Beta) list. When a user attempts to download an existing file, the download is blocked if it’s malicious. This feature was developed based on your idea on IdeaExchange.
- **[Manage Files up to 10 GB in Salesforce Files](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_experiences_files_new_size_limit.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Salesforce Files has increased the file size limit from 2 GB to 10 GB. The increased limit is available to Files home, libraries, and on a record’s Files related list, but not to files uploaded to Chatter or LWR sites in Experience Cloud.
- **[Allow More Users to Delete Files](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_experiences_files_delete_files.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Manage files in Salesforce more efficiently by assigning the new Delete Salesforce Files permission to your users. With this permission, a user can delete any file that they have access to view. Previously, only a Salesforce admin or the file owner could delete a file. This feature was developed based on your idea on IdeaExchange.
- **[Launch a Flow When a User Changes a File (Beta)](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_experiences_files_flow_trigger.htm&release=260&type=5)**
To launch a flow when a user creates, updates, or deletes a file, set up the flow so that it triggers on the Content Document or Content Version objects. Use this new feature to create flows that work with documents in Salesforce Files or Salesforce CRM content. This feature was developed based on your idea on IdeaExchange.
- **[Transition from Microsoft ACS to Azure Portal for Files Connect](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_experiences_files_acs.htm&release=260&type=5)**
In April 2026, Microsoft is retiring Microsoft Azure Control Services (ACS), which means that this authentication approach is no longer supported for Files Connect. If your org uses Microsoft ACS, update your Files Connect authentication configuration to use Azure Portal instead.
