# Quickly Develop Lightning Web Components in a Real-Time Preview of Your LWR Site (Generally Available)

Local Dev detects changes in your source code and updates your Lightning Web Runtime (LWR) site preview so you don’t have to redeploy code or manually refresh your browser. This feature, now generally available, includes some changes since the last release.

**Where:** This change applies to [LWR sites](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=experience.exp_cloud_basics_glossary.htm&type=5&language=en_US) accessed through Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic (not available in all orgs) in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions. You must have at least [one active community license](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.users_license_types_communities.htm&type=5&language=en_US) in your org to use this feature.

**How:** Starting in Spring ’26, the `sf lightning dev site` command doesn't support the `--ssr` flag.

To learn how to set up and run Local Dev for your LWR site, see [Lightning Web Components Developer Guide: Preview Components with Local Dev](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/platform/lwc/guide/get-started-test-components.html).
