Build High-Quality Agents with Validation Enhancements in the New Agentforce Builder (Beta)
In the new Agentforce Builder, we’ve added validation checks to agent actions, so you can be confident that your agent has all of the tools it needs to do its jobs. Plus, we’ve made it easier to get the error messages you need to make quick fixes.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Foundations or Agentforce 1 Editions.
Note The new Agentforce Builder is a beta service that is subject to the Beta Services
Terms at Agreements - Salesforce.com or your written Unified Pilot
Agreement, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this beta
service consumes usage types per the Agentforce and Generative AI Usage and Billing
documentation and is at the Customer’s sole discretion.
When: This change is available starting the week of January 5, 2026.
Why:
- When you save a change to an action, Agentforce Builder lets you know if the underlying flow, prompt template, or other reference action is missing, or if there’s an issue with the names or data types of the action’s inputs and outputs.
- When an agent has errors, you now see information about the errors in Canvas view as well as Script view. For more detailed error information, switch to Script view. Previously, errors were only available in Script view.
- In Script view, you no longer have to go to the Agent Definition page to see detailed error information. Previously, Agent Script was broken into sections in Script view, so your agent’s complete script and any errors were only available on the Agent Definition page. Now, your agent’s script is presented in a single, continuous view. You can scroll to any block or error, and you can use the Explorer panel to jump to different blocks.
