# Improve Search Relevance with Synonym Rules

Guide B2B Commerce buyers to the right products by mapping common search terms to catalog names. Create synonym rules to account for typos, slang, or interchangeable terms such as "couch" and "sofa." Use one-way rules to direct specific terms to a product, such as mapping "phone charger" to "lightning cable". Use two-way rules to treat terms as equal in both directions. Assign rules to locales to deliver a consistent search experience across languages.

**Where:** This change applies to B2B Commerce in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

**How:** To manage synonyms for your store, from **Merchandising**, select **Synonym Rules**.
