# Maintain Tax Compliance with Credit Memo Voiding and Recovery

Improve financial accuracy by recovering credit memos that are in error or pending states. You can also void posted credit memos and automatically create debit memos for them.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions of Agentforce Revenue Management, formerly Revenue Cloud, with the Revenue Cloud Billing license.

**Who:** To recover and void credit memos, you need the Billing Admin, the Billing Operations User, or the Credit Memo Operations User permission set.

**How:** To recover credit memos, from the App Launcher, find and select **Credit Memos**. Open a credit memo in the pending or error state. Then click **Recover Credit Memo**. For credit memos with tax, the action creates a debit memo and voids the credit memo. For credit memos with no tax, the action simply cancels the credit memo.

To void a posted credit memo, open the credit memo record and click **Void Credit Memo**.
