Create Batch Data Transforms by Using Custom Code with Code Extension (Beta)

With code extension in Data 360, you can create batch data transforms using your custom Python code. If native batch data transforms don't meet your business requirements, use code extension to author, debug, and deploy your transform logic, then create batch data transforms using that deployed logic.

Why: Code extension gives you the flexibility to create batch data transforms using custom logic that the native visual transform builder doesn't support. For example, you need windowed percentiles on engagement data, such as email opens and site visits, and text similarity on lead notes to match your ideal customer profile. With Code Extension, you can create batch data transforms that use Python libraries, such as scikit-learn and difflib, in your custom transform logic to calculate windowed percentiles and text similarity.

Where: This change applies to Data 360 Enterprise, Performance, Developer, and Unlimited editions.

Note
Note Code extension is a pilot or beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at Agreements - Salesforce.com or a written Unified Beta Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this pilot or beta service is at the Customer's sole discretion.

When: This feature is available starting in February 2026.

How: In Data 360, on the Data Transforms tab, click New. Select Create From Custom Code, and click Next. Enter a name and API name for your batch transform, select your deployed custom code from the list, and then save.
