# Flow Approval Processes

Complete approval step screen flows in Flow Builder while debugging flow approval processes without leaving Flow Builder. Start an autolaunched flow approval process from the new Request Approval component and let the submitter select the first approver.

- **[Add Approval Submissions to Record Pages Without Custom Buttons](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_automate_automated_approvals_request_approval_component.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Add a component for your users to submit records for approval without you creating a custom button. The Request Approval component works in both Lightning App Builder and Experience Builder. Configure built-in options for approver selection and submission comments.
- **[Complete Approval Work Items in Flow Builder While Debugging](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_automate_automated_approvals_complete_work_item_in_flow_builder_while_debugging.htm&release=260&type=5)**
While debugging a flow approval process, open an approval work item directly on the canvas from the approval step’s card. After you complete the work item, the orchestration run resumes. Completing approval work items via email or by using the Review option from the Approval Work Items quick menu is unchanged.
- **[View Flow Approval Process Automation Usage in the Approvals Lightning App](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_automate_automated_approvals_view_related_automation_usage.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Quickly identify dependencies for your flow approval processes with the new Usage subtab. Select the Manage All Flow Approval Processes tile to open the All Flow Approval Processes list view. Select a flow approval process or version, then click Usage. The subtab shows automations that the selected item uses or automations that use the selected item.
- **[Debug Specific Segments of Flow Approval Processes](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_automate_automated_approvals_set_start_end_points.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Accelerate testing by debugging only a targeted stage or segment of your flow approval process. Define a start point to skip earlier elements, an end point to stop at a specific stage, or both to target a segment. When you set a start point, use the Configure Test Input tab to set input values for steps that rely on outputs from skipped stages or steps. To debug a single stage, set it as both the start point and the end point.
- **[Control Which Flow Approval Process Steps to Run in Debug Mode with Test Output](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_automate_automated_approvals_use_mock_output_with_steps_in_default_mode.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Use test output to debug flow approval process steps selectively in default mode. Skip steps that you don’t want to run to focus on specific parts of your flow approval process. This capability, previously called Manually Set Output, was available only in rollback mode. The Configure Test Output tab replaces the Configure Debug tab.
