Manage growing data volumes and improve system performance by autoarchiving old or inactive data. Keep only important and reliable information in production.

- **[Expand Data Residency Options in Japan and India with Hyperforce](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_general_archive_hyperforce.htm&release=260&type=5)**  
    Archive App is now available on Hyperforce in Japan and India. New customers in these regions can store their data locally to meet residency requirements. This update also streamlines the onboarding experience by removing the OAuth 2.0 flow requirement.
- **[Migrate to the Archive App for Enhanced Infrastructure](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_archive_migrate.htm&release=260&type=5)**  
    Transition from the Archive Managed Package to the Archive app to get the latest infrastructure updates. This two-phase migration includes automated preparation and a scheduled cutover with zero downtime. Following the cutover, you have a 30-day grace period to update configurations, including custom permissions and Apex references.

    Anonymize personally identifiable information (PII) directly in archived records to comply with Right to Be Forgotten (RTBF) requests and meet data retention obligations. Anonymize Archived PII (beta) replaces sensitive fields with non-identifiable placeholders so that data remains available for audits and analytics.

    You can now import data directly to your local drive. This feature is limited to data only and doesn't support importing files from a local machine.
