Dig deeper into agent sessions with the new Agentforce Session Trace OTel API. Extract a single, unified JSON view of a full session trace. Then import the output into your favorite observability tool or OpenTelemetry Protocol (OTLP) collector for further investigation.
What: The JSON output includes every step of an Agentforce agent interaction: turns, messages, LLM calls, actions, RAG retrievals, quality scores, and feedback. The output format conforms with the OpenTelemetry (OTLP) specification.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Foundations or Agentforce 1 editions.
When: This change is available starting April 10, 2026.
How: In Setup, go to Einstein Audit, Analytics, and Monitoring Setup and turn on Agentforce Session Tracing and Audit and Feedback. Next, authenticate by using OAuth 2.0 via an external client app (ECA). Or authenticate by using your favorite REST client and the auth token from the ECA. Run the API against the REST endpoint, passing in a session ID. Then import the output into Splunk, Datadog, New Relic, or any OpenTelemetry Protocol (OTLP) collector.
