Note You can view and edit tab settings in permission sets only if the permission set has a license type specified.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission Sets, and then select **Permission Sets**. Or, in the Quick Find box, enter Profiles, and then select **Profiles**.
2. Select a permission set or profile.
3. Go to tab settings for an object.
    - Permission sets or enhanced profile user interface—In the Find Settings box, enter the name of the object you want and select it from the list, and then click **Edit**.
    - Original profile user interface—Click **Edit**, and then scroll to the Tab Settings section.
4. [Specify the tab settings.](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.permissions_tab_settings_ref.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Tab settings specify whether a tab is visible in its associated app. They also determine whether a tab appears in the All Tabs page in Salesforce Classic and whether objects appear in the Lightning Experience App Launcher and navigation menus. Tab settings labels in permission sets differ from the labels in profiles.")
5. Click **Save**.

You can also see all tabs that a user can access or the tabs included in a permission set or permission set group from their related access summaries.
