# Install Shield Extension

Analyze and encrypt Salesforce fields to enhance data security and compliance. Shield Extension helps you manage and monitor data history and retention policies for comprehensive auditing and control.

Users must provision Salesforce Shield for an org to use this extension.

1. Ensure the user installing the package has the Download AppExchange Packages permission assigned.
2. Go to: [https://sfdc.co/install-shield-extension](https://sfdc.co/install-shield-extension).
3. Log in by using the org’s custom domain.
4. Follow the standard process for installing a managed package.
