# Encrypt Fields with Secure

Encrypt sensitive fields using the Platform Encryption Analyzer so you can protect your data. Encrypt fields directly from the analysis results, and then confirm the encryption options. You can also exclude fields from encryption, include previously excluded fields, and download a compliance report of the last analysis as a PDF file.

## Encrypt Fields

Encrypt fields that have been listed as "All Clear" or "Blocked by Configuration".

1. Hover the cursor over the field's result icon and click **Encrypt Now**.
2. Select an encryption option. The available options for encrypting a field may vary based on configuration choices and limitations within Salesforce.
3. Click **OK**.
4. Click **Add**.
5. Once confirmed, Salesforce sends an email with the encryption results. To encrypt an object with existing data, navigate to Salesforce Setup, then Encryption Statistics, select the object, and click Sync.
    
    An object can only be synced once a week. Ensure all objects are selected prior to starting the sync.
6. To download a Compliance Report of the last analysis as a .pdf file, click **Printable View**.

## Exclude Fields from Encryption

1. Hover over the analysis result of the field to be excluded and click **Exclude**.
2. Enter a reason for excluding the field and click **Next**.
3. Click **Yes, complete this Exclusion**.
    
    The excluded field is displayed with a grayed and striped pattern.

## Include Fields for Encryption

Include previously excluded fields for encryption and future analysis.

1. Hover over the analysis result of the excluded field and click **Include**.
2. Click **Yes, complete this Inclusion**. An "Update Exclusion Reason" option is available in this window, allowing users to change the exclusion reason for the selected field.
    
    The field is now included for encryption and future analysis.
