# Analyze Platform Encryption Fields

Determine which fields can be encrypted without affecting other configurations in an org. Prioritize which fields need encryption based on their sensitivity and compliance requirements.

1. Select the fields to be analyzed.
2. Click the **Analyze**.
    
    While the analysis is being performed, the application displays the status as “In Progress” and the Analyze button changes to "View Progress". When the analysis job completes, the tab automatically refreshes with the results. The user who initiated the analysis receives an email letting them know that the job is complete. The fields can now be reviewed in the Field Explorer.
3. Hover over each field's result to view information on why it was assigned its current status.
