# Exporting Anonymization Templates for ServiceNow

The Anonymize application for ServiceNow lets you export anonymization templates for reviewing, auditing, and sharing with your organization.

The Anonymize application UI provides you with the capability to export an anonymization template - while a template is in view-only mode in the My Templates page, the Export option is available from the template's context menu.

The exporting of anonymization templates supports the following business needs:

- Review/QA of your organization’s data anonymization.
- Auditing of your organization’s management of/securing of its data environment.
- Sharing of your organization’s anonymization templates with other departments.

Here’s what you need to know about exported anonymization templates:

- Exported file type: .obt
- Exported file name format: Anonymize\_Template\_<template name>\_<export date-time>.obt
- For each anonymized table, the data exports for each of its anonymized columns (columns having the replacement value Skip are not exported):
    - Column Name
    - Column Value
    - Replacement Value
