# Schedule, Edit, and Delete Scheduled Seeding Jobs In ServiceNow

Schedule recurring and onetime seeding jobs in advance when you use Schedule Seeding. Enhance seeding efficiency by automating recurring tasks and manage all scheduled jobs from a central tab.

## Schedule Seeding Jobs

1. Navigate to the Scheduled tab (Seeding tab > Scheduled).
2. Click + Schedule Seed.

    The Schedule Seed window opens.
3. From the window's General tab > Template drop-down list, select a seeding template.

The list only offers published seeding templates as options. The icon to the left of each entry in the drop-down list identifies that template's type, as a nodes template.

Except for Schedule tab definitions, perform the remaining applicable definitions exactly as you would for a manually initiated (not scheduled), seeding job. Refer to [Run a Seeding Job for ServiceNow](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.seeding_o_sn_run_job.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "You can run the seeding job directly from the Template Builder of the template. If the Seed button isn't available in the Template Builder tab, contact your administrator to grant you the required permission.").
4. In the Schedule tab, define the following:
    1. From the Date drop-down list, select a start date and a start time for the seeding job. The provided start time options appear in your local time.
    2. From the Frequency drop-down list, select a frequency for executing the seeding job. The frequency options are One time (default), Daily, and Weekly.
    3. When Daily is the selected frequency, the End date drop-down list displays. From this drop-down list, select an end date for the seeding job.
    4. When Weekly is the selected frequency:

        - The Every <n> weeks field displays. Enter a number in this field that defines the frequency, in weeks, that the seeding job executes.
        - The End date drop-down list displays. From this drop-down list, select an end date for the seeding job.
5. When all required and any optional information is defined in the available tabs of the Schedule Seed window, click Schedule Seed.

The Scheduled tab re-displays and lists the scheduled seeding job just defined.

## Edit and Delete Scheduled Seeding Jobs

From the Seeding Scheduled tab, you can edit and delete scheduled seeding jobs, as follows:

- Scheduled seeding jobs having a future date can be edited and deleted.

    ![Important](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-platform-own_from_salesforce-264-0-0-production-enus/8ac98673-ede2-4046-a41e-2d5c846f24ff/images/icon_important.png)

Important Scheduled seeding jobs cannot be edited while any of the services that they use (source service, and/or destination service) are unavailable.
- Completed scheduled seeding jobs can only be deleted.
- Deactivated scheduled seeding jobs can only be deleted.

1. When hovering your cursor over any table entry in the Scheduled tab, the three dots button appears at the far right of that entry. Click the three dots button to display a menu listing the available action options for that entry.
2. In the menu, click Edit to open the Schedule Seed window.
3. In the available tabs, make the necessary updates and then click Save.

    ![Tip](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-platform-own_from_salesforce-264-0-0-production-enus/8ac98673-ede2-4046-a41e-2d5c846f24ff/images/icon_tip.png)

Tip Scheduled seeding jobs always use a template’s published version. Whenever you edit a seeding template and then re-publish it, be aware that the changes you made affect the scheduled seeding jobs that use that (published) seeding template. Therefore, we recommend that you always work with (edit) a cloned version of a published seeding template, so that you can apply changes to that seeding template without impacting the relevant scheduled seeding jobs.
4. In the menu, click Delete. Click Delete.

A dialog opens to confirm the execution of the action you initiated.
5. Click Delete.
