# Export and Import the Seeding Template Object Hierarchy in Salesforce

Use Salesforce Seeding to export and import your object hierarchy and reuse templates across environments. Reusing templates eliminates manual copying, which saves time and minimizes errors.

You can export the template objects'/tables' hierarchy and import it into a different template.

This is useful for the following use cases:

- Reusing templates between different environments instead of manually copying the hierarchy.
- In Salesforce Seeding, allowing developers to copy the hierarchy to a new template where they have permission to change the anonymization template and source service.
- Saving the hierarchy at a particular phase for further use.

1. From the Template Builder menu, select Export to download the file to your local drive.
2. In the target template, in edit mode, the Import option is available.
3. Click Import. The previously downloaded file is uploaded.

The system overwrites your current hierarchy and replaces it with the imported objects/tables and their filters.
