Important Starting in Summer ’23, you can’t create new processes. You can still activate, deactivate, and edit any existing processes. To migrate existing processes, use the [Migrate to Flow tool](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.flow_migrate_to_flow.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Use the Migrate to Flow tool to convert your Process Builder processes and workflow rules into Flow Builder, including scheduled actions. The tool also supports partial migration of processes for most actions."). For new automations, create flows in [Flow Builder](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.flow.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Automation reduces repetitive work and helps your team complete tasks faster and more accurately. With Flow Builder, you can build simple or complex automations, forms, and guided experiences with no code. You can add forms to Salesforce pages and Experience sites, and launch flows using buttons, record triggers, or schedules.").

Using platform events and the Salesforce REST API, your printer publishes a Printer Status event at the end of each work day. This event includes the printer’s serial number, how much ink and paper it has, and how many pages it has printed in total.

When Salesforce receives the Printer Status event, your Printer Management process uses the serial number to find a matching asset in your Salesforce org.

![Trigger for an Event process that uses Serial Number to match the event to an asset record](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-platform-platform_automation-264-0-0-production-enus/60568438-ec7e-4665-acd1-7c80dcbe60d5/platform_automation/images/process_builder/pb_trigger_event.png)

If the process finds a match, it evaluates the event’s data.

- The first criteria always update the asset’s print count.
- The second criteria checks if the ink is low. If so, it launches a flow that orders more ink and assigns a service technician to install the ink cartridge.
- The third criteria checks if the paper is low. If so, it launches a flow that orders more paper and assigns a service technician to add the paper.
