# Platform Settings

The platform settings for the Own Data Platform and related services can be managed through various features and tabs.

All modern web browsers are supported including; Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. We use JavaScript in the web application to enhance the user experience. No installation is required.

In the My Profile page you can edit your time zone, change your password and generate and manage an API Token. My Profile page is accessed from the left Own pane.

- **[Configure Password Settings](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.platform_o_set_password.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Master Admins can configure and update password settings including the password expiration policy and password reuse policy. Admin users can see the configured settings while the settings aren't visible to nonadmin users.
- **[Setting the Session Timeout](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.platform_o_session_timeout.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
The session timeout setting sets the interval of inactivity before a user is automatically signed out of the Own Data Platform.
- **[Configure IP Address Restrictions](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.platform_o_config_ip_address_restrict.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Master Admins can configure what IP addresses are allowed to access the Own Data Platform. Changes to Permitted IP settings affect all the regions in the account.
