The external merge is complete in source control. Complete the promotion before promoting additional changes to or from the affected stage. For metadata changes, wait until delayed events appear in Lifecycle Center before you continue.

1. Go to the Pipelines tab and select your pipeline.
2. On the stage that is out of sync, click **Complete Promotion**.
3. If you haven’t logged in to the environment for that pipeline stage from within Lifecycle Center, complete the login process.
4. In the Promotion Options window, select **Promote now**, the changes to promote and the Apex tests to run. See [Promotion Options](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.next_gen_devops_center_promotion_options.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Select the promotion type, which changes to apply, and which Apex tests to run when you promote a stage or selected work items.").
5. Click **Promote**.

Lifecycle Center deploys the externally merged changes to the environment associated with the stage.

To complete the promotion from the command line instead, run `sf devops promotion complete`. See [Quick Start: Use Salesforce CLI with Lifecycle Center](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.devops_center_cli_quick_start.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Use Salesforce CLI to automate Lifecycle Center tasks from the command line. In this quick start, you create and activate a pipeline, manage a work item, and promote changes to the next pipeline stage.").
