- **[Configure Who Can Be a Service Resource](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_manage_perms.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Service resources are individual users in your org who can attend appointments with clients. Before you can create service resources, create or identify users who you want to be available as service resources. Then, assign them the Salesforce Scheduler permission set license via a permission set to make them available for appointments.
- **[Enable the Main Service Resource Setting](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_enable_main_service_resource.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
To use Omni-Channel service resources with the Agent resource type in Salesforce Scheduler, enable the Main Service Resource setting. When you enable the setting, we recommend that you create only one service resource per user.
- **[Enable Asset Scheduling in Salesforce Scheduler](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_asset_scheduling_overview.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
It’s easier than ever to book rooms and equipment, such as MRI machines or dialysis chairs, with Asset Scheduling.
- **[Create Service Resources in Salesforce Scheduler](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_create_resources.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Service resources are individual users who can attend customer appointments. Create service resources so that you can assign appointments to them.
- **[Assign Skills to Service Resources in Salesforce Scheduler](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_assign_skills.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Assign skills to service resources to indicate their areas of expertise. Service resources are assigned appointments based on their skills.
- **[Assign Skills with Start and End Dates to Service Resources](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_assign_skills_with_end_date.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Assign skills with both start and end dates to service resources to track their certifications and areas of expertise.
- **[Assign Service Territories to Service Resources in Salesforce Scheduler](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_assign_service_territories.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Assign service territories to service resources to ensure that appointment attendees are associated with all the locations where they’re available.
- **[Share Service Appointments with Assigned Service Resources](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_share_appnt_with_srvc_resources.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
When you enable the Resource Appointment Sharing setting, Scheduler automatically shares a newly created service appointment with all assigned service resources. This setting provides appropriate permissions to service resources to manage their service appointments.
- **[Guidelines for Managing Service Resources in Salesforce Scheduler](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_resource_guidelines.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
