- **[Considerations for Multi-Resource Scheduling](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_multiresource_considerations.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
In multi-resource scheduling, a primary service resource anchors the appointment and must be marked required. The primary service resources are the only service resources whose skills are matched to the skill requirements for an appointment. Other required service resources are matched to the appointment based on their availability and the primary resource’s service territory. Resources not marked required are considered optional.
- **[Enable Multi-Resource Scheduling](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_enable_multiresource.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Turn on Multi-Resource Scheduling to let users schedule groups of resources, as well as assets, for customer appointments.
- **[Update Field-Level Security for Multi-Resource Scheduling](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_update_fls_multiresource.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Update the field-level security settings on the Primary Resource field on the Assigned Resource object for all user profiles that need to access multi-resource scheduling.
