# Set Capacity for Shifts

For each shift, set the number of appointments that can be booked for a particular work type.

### Required Editions

1. From the App Launcher, click **Shifts**.
2. Select the shift that you want to edit.
3. Click **Related** and edit the Shift Work Topic that you want to set capacity for.
4. In Maximum Appointment Capacity, set the maximum number of appointments that can be scheduled.
5. Edit the capacity for other shift work topics, but make sure that the total capacity for all shift work types doesn’t exceed the overall capacity of the shift.
6. Save your changes.
