# Considerations for Using Payments

Before you use payments, keep these considerations in mind.

- Salesforce Scheduler supports only US dollars as the payment currency.
- Payment notification emails rely on platform events. If the platform event allocation in your Salesforce org is exhausted, payment emails aren’t sent to customers. If required, purchase an add-on for more platform events.
- The appointment confirmation email template doesn’t have a link to modify or cancel the appointment. To add a link for your customers, find and add the URL from your Experience Cloud site to the template.
- Add the Authenticated Payer permission set to the profiles of your authenticated community users.
