# Before You Begin

Before you turn on payments in Salesforce Scheduler, set up Salesforce Payments.

### Required Editions

1. [Set up payments from the Commerce Setup Assistant.](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.payments_automated_setup.htm&language=en_US)
    1. Click **Setup** at the top of the page, and then select **Setup**. In the Quick Box, find and select **Commerce Setup Assistant**.
    2. In the Prepare Your Org for Salesforce Payments tile, click **Get Started**.
        
        The assistant configures all the necessary settings so Payments is enabled.
