# Enable Drop In Appointments

To manage customers who visit the branch without prior appointments, enable the Drop In Appointments setting.

### Required Editions

Before enabling Drop In Appointments, complete the [prerequisites](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_prereqs_drop_in_appointments.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Before you enable the Drop In Appointments setting, complete these prerequisites.").

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Salesforce Scheduler Settings, and then select **Salesforce Scheduler Settings**.
2. Enable **Drop In Appointments**.
3. To match the skill and the skill levels of the service resources with the skill requirement of a work type while creating a waitlist, enable **Skill and Skill Level Matching**.
4. To show all waitlist participants in a single, unified list regardless of the service requested, enable **Simplified View**.
    
    When you enable Skill and Skill Level Matching, Lobby Management segments the waitlist view by work type groups. Simplified View removes this segmentation making sure that your greeters can easily view the priority of participants across the waitlist.
