# Enable Appointment Distribution Settings

To enable appointment distribution, enable the Appointment Distribution and Aggregate Resource Use settings. The Appointment Distribution setting provides access to the appointment distribution feature. And the Aggregate Resource Use setting starts the utilization score calculation for service resources. A utilization score is required for appointment distribution to work as expected.

### Required Editions

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Salesforce Scheduler Settings, and then select **Salesforce Scheduler Settings**.
2. Enable **Appointment Distribution**, and then enable **Aggregate Resource Use**.
