# Changes Between Aura and LWC Components

Review the following UI and functional changes before you migrate to LWC.

### Required Editions

- For some components, a new output variable to determine the form factor is now available. This output variable is added to before a point where the form factor is decided. If you're using your own custom flows and components, write logic to derive the form factor. This affects the following components:
    - Select Work Type
    - Appointment Type Selector
    - Select Service Territory
- When multi-resource scheduling is enabled, the time slot picker features an updated user interface. The list of resources displays as a list instead of as circles.
- The advanced search dialog in LWC components functions differently than in Aura components.
    
    - Aura: Users can create a new resource directly from the search dialog if none is available.
    - LWC: Users can search for resources using the search dialog, but they cannot create a new Service Resource record from it. Ensure that you create and activate all necessary service resources before scheduling.
