# Considerations for Using Engagement Channel Types

Here are some things to keep in mind when you use engagement channel types.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Lightning Experience.</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <strong>Enterprise</strong> and <strong>Unlimited</strong> Editions</td></tr></tbody></table>

- Customer Community Plus (CCP) or Partner Community license users have only read access to engagement channel types.
- If you choose to support all engagement channel types for a Shift Engagement Channel record, Salesforce Scheduler doesn’t show that record in the related list of the Engagement Channel Type records.
- Engagement channel types don't support custom flows that were created before the Winter'23 release. To use engagement channel types with custom flows, recreate the custom flows using the standard flow templates.
