Here are some of the things that you can do with Salesforce Scheduler.

- Manage your business information such as service territories (work locations), user service resources (employees and contractors who attend customer appointments), assets (rooms and equipment), and work type groups (appointment topics).
- Use fixed working hours for your teams by using operating hours, or provide flexibility and enable your teams to manage their own working hours by using shifts.
- Specify availability based on various factors such as location working hours, appointment topics, customers’ preferred meeting hours, absences, and holidays.
- View appointments on Salesforce calendar by using Event Management.
- Help find the right resources at the right time by managing skills, scheduling policy rules, and settings.
- Ensure equitable distribution of appointments among service resources by using appointment distribution.
- Enable your users to book multiple attendees in a single appointment by using multi-resource scheduling.
- Enable your users to book multiple appointments for a single time slot by using concurrent scheduling.
- Personalize appointment booking experience by using flows, developer resources, or both.
- Enable inbound and outbound appointment scheduling through Salesforce Lightning Console, Experience Cloud Sites, and your websites.
- Share service resource availability by using an invitation URL.

To learn how to show appointments on external calendars by using platform events and to sync Salesforce calendar with external calendars by using Einstein Activity Capture, see [Show Appointments as Events on Salesforce or External Calendars](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_event_mgmt_overview.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "When you enable the Event Management setting, Salesforce Scheduler writes service resources’ appointments as events on their Salesforce calendar. To write events from Salesforce calendar to external calendars, use a calendar sync tool such as Einstein Activity Capture. If a calendar sync tool doesn’t work for you, enable the Publish Appointments as Platform Events setting to trigger platform events when appointments are created, modified, or deleted in Salesforce Scheduler. Then, subscribe to the new AppointmentSchedulingEvent platform event and use an API to write the platform events to an external calendar.").

See [Extend Salesforce Scheduler with Other Salesforce Products and Platform Features](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.ls_complementary_products.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Use other Salesforce products and features, such as email, surveys, notes, calendar integration, and analytics, to extend Salesforce Scheduler functionality.").
