# Send Marketing Cloud Engagement Email Marketing Flow Element

The Send Marketing Cloud Engagement Email action sends an email with send classifications, publication lists, and content in Marketing Cloud Engagement via segment, event-triggered, activation-triggered, or broadcast flow. You can configure the action to target Data 360 audience segments using your existing Marketing Cloud Engagement content and settings without requiring segment activation or data replication. Enable Retain send log data to keep send log information and pass it to Marketing Cloud Engagement for reporting and troubleshooting.

## Set Input Values

You select the segment from the campaign record or from the flow’s Start element. You can customize the contents of the email from the campaign record.

## Usage

The email is sent based on the schedule configured in the Start element. If there are multiple Send Marketing Cloud Engagement Email elements separated by Wait elements, the flow doesn’t send the email until the Wait conditions are met.
